Two Arik’s planes grounded after collision at Lagos airport

Two planes belonging to Arik Air, yesterday, brushed each other while manoeuvring out of the apron at the General Aviation Terminal, GAT, of Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.

The two planes had their wing tips damaged and have been grounded to allow further investigation into the incident.

Reacting to the incidence, spokesman of the airline, Mr. Adebanji Ola, said in a statement: “Two of our aircraft, Boeing 737-800NG were this afternoon (yesterday) involved in a wing-tip brush at the General Aviation Terminal, GAT, of Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.

Jose Mourinho accused of 'pushing' 14-year-old schoolboy on street in London

Jose Mourinho has been accused by a 14-year-old schoolboy of shoving him on a street in London.

Footage shows the Chelsea manager walking through the high-end shopping district of Knightsbridge whilst chatting on his mobile phone.

Upon spotting that he is being filmed, Mourinho appears to move towards the camera. The picture then shakes wildly.

The boy filming the video was teenager Otto Nahmmacher, whose father afterwards said to The Sun regarding Mourinho: "He's losing the plot".

Otto alleged in The Sun: “I did not say a word to him. He walked over to me, then he pushed me."

CHILD RAPE: Policeman Defiles Nursery Pupil In Ebonyi

A police corporal attached to Ugbodo Division in Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, one Samuel Okere, has been arrested by the State Juvenile Welfare Centre (JWC) for allegedly defiling a three-year-old girl and nursery 2 pupil (name withheld).

Okere was said to have committed the act in Ugbodo at the victim father’s house when she returned from school.

Leadership gathered that the victim’s parents had gone for their teaching jobs when the police officer allegedly committed the act.

According to a source who prefered anonymity, when the parents returned from work, the little girl started complaining of pains in her private part as she could not walk properly; which made the father, Emmanuel Iyiekuna, ask her what happened to her in the private part and she told him that the policeman inserted something inside her.

Boy reportedly loses leg after mother pushes him in front of approaching train

According to German media reports, travellers watched as the boy fell onto the tracks at Hamburg's Hoheluftbruecke railway station on Sunday.

The driver was unable to stop in time and the boy's leg was crushed under the wheels.

His mother, known only as 31-year-old Jana, then attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended by police, Germany's Bild newspaper reported.

According to Bild, it took rescue services almost 40 minutes to free the boy, who has been named as 11-year-old Leon, from underneath the train.

Barclays plan to delist Nigerian bond worries operators

Operators in the nation’s capital market have lamented the plan by Barclays Bank to delist the Federal Government’s bond from its index, attributing the development to volatile foreign exchange and macro-economic concerns in the country.

The operators were worried over the recent reports that Barclays Bank will consult with its index users on whether Nigeria’s sovereign debt should remain in its emerging market local currency government bond benchmark.

The index provider had said it would drop Nigeria from its index, citing same lack of liquidity and currency restrictions and coming on the heels of the pronouncement by JP Morgan to delist Nigerian bond from its index.

Already, Barclays has listed Nigeria’s eligibility for inclusion in the Emerging Market Local Currency Government Index among the primary topics to be considered in its yearly review process, according to a statement, though without additional details.

However, the operators have urged the government to take more proactive fiscal measures to restore confidence in the nation’s economy, stressing the need for it to work out modalities that would help to forestall further occurrence.

Biafra writes world leaders over Kanu’s arrest

The Indigenous People of Biafra Worldwide, a group championing the secession of Biafra from Nigeria and which owns Radio Biafra used for this purpose, on Sunday wrote an open letter to world leaders over the plight of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, allegedly in the hands of the Directorate of State Service, DSS.

Kanu is believed to have been arrested in Nigeria by the DSS, as claimed by the group.

In the letter written by Ifeanyi Chijioke on behalf of the group, the members said that with the arrest of Kanu, freedom of speech had received a knock of death.

“The world leaders must stand up to its integrity, pride, and in defense of the law they made,” the group said adding that the UN chatter on the rights of indigenous people had become endangered with the arrest of this “leader of indigenous people of Biafra.

TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR STRIPPING A BOY NAKED, POURING HOT SAUCE ON HIS PENIS

Two men have been arrested for tying a naked boy to a pole and pouring hot sauce on his penis.

According Niigata Police in Japan, 26-year-old Takeru Yoshizawa and 22-year-old Jo Yuki who are construction workers tore the unidentified boy’s clothes before tying him to a pole then pouring the edible hot pepper on his penis.

Investigations also revealed they forced the boy who also works with them to swallow two goldfishes alive.

The men have been charged with assault for the bullying incident.

MAN ARRESTED FOR HAVING SEX WITH A HORSE AND INJURING IT..

A man has been arrested for having sexual intercourse with a horse and injuring it.

The 31-year-old married man identified as Alan Blackman from Norfolk was apprehended after he broke into a stable and had sex with one of the horses.

The man was seen on CCTV raping the horse and then injuring it in the process.

The animal was taken to a veterinary clinic for treatment.

Blackman was caught after police shared his photo on facebook and then he personally complained about it.

He was charged to court where the judge ordered him to go for psychiatric evaluation.

MAN SHOOTS DEAD TEENAGER FOR FLIRTING WITH HIS WIFE ON A BUS

A man has been docked for murdering a teenager who allegedly flirted with his wife on a bus.

According to court documents, the man identified as Lawrence Jones was jailed after he shot dead an 18-year-old for flirting with his wife in Brooklyn, New York.

The suspect had someone lure the victim identified as Isaiah Roberts to a secluded area on Howard Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Roberts recognized the dangerous situation and then tried to escape before he was shot in the back by Jones.

Jones was charged with premeditated murder and then sentenced 20 years to life in prison.
