IGP Promotes Sergeant For Fabricating Bullet Proof Jacket

The Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Solomon Arase has promoted a police sergeant in Bauchi State command, Godwin Hosea to the rank of police inspector for fabricating a bullet proof jacket.
Decorating the newly promoted Inspector at the Police Command, the state commissioner of police, Mohammed Mohammed applauded Hosea’s foresight for displaying such exceptional talent.
“On 22/7/2015 during one day official working visit to Bauchi State command by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase, one F/No 218346 Sgt Godwin Hosea presented a fabricated Bullet Proof Jacket he manufactured locally to the IGP during the lecture parade. As a result, a visibly happy IGP instantly promoted the Sergent to the rank of Inspector with effect from 22/7/2015,” the CP said.
The commissioner who was represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sumonu Abdumalik, urged Hosea to rededicate himself to duty and reciprocate the gesture done to him by the IGP.

Mohammed also enjoined other officers to emulate Hosea and harness their God given talent in order to move the force and the nation forward.
Responding, the newly Promoted Inspector Godwin Hosea thanked IGP Solomon Arase for the honor done to him and promised to be diligent in the discharge of his duty.
Inspector Hosea added that his motive for fabricating the jacket is not financial but rather to aid his colleagues in discharge of their duty.
